Our product never sleeps. Not only because it is being used 24/7 in every time zone but it is also evolving continuously. It has to, if it is to remain the worldwide reference in its field, because in this fast-paced media world, the needs of tomorrow have to be met today.
We are continuously developing new features, new functionality, even completely new modules.
Every build of each of these releases goes through a rigorous process of automated and manual testing to ensure its quality. To create a sustainable process of testing we focus on expanding our automated tests to the maximum to avoid unnecessary repetitive manual work. But ultimately sharp human intelligence will decide! You will be in charge to support and guide the team to deliver high quality versions to our customers. everything needs to pass your final quality control before the new version can be released to the customer.
MEDIAGENIX is rapidly evolving to a modular cloud-based service. For this exciting challenge, we are looking for experienced and talented software QA specialist to join our product team in Brussels.
How you ensure a flawless product
- Do all new features work as they are supposed to work? Is the logic sound? Is it user-friendly? You assist the team to determine the best approach to ensure the quality of each single feature that is developed.
- You ensure, together with your teammates, that feature acceptance criteria are clear and testable.
- You register and document all issues on the internal tracking system, and communicate your important findings directly to the product team so that things can be amended.
- Your create test scenarios that are reusable and can be automated.
- You test new features manually and create test scenarios for these features.
- You are key to the continuous improvement of QA processes and implementing improvements related to quality, effectivity and efficiency within and across team.
- You have experience and knowledge about test automation, you are open assist our teams in that domain and expand your knowledge.
Our wish list
- You have a degree in Information Science or Engineering and/or have proven experience with large, agile project development.
- Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and QA methodologies (especially in an agile context)
- Hands-on knowledge of test (design) techniques
- Hands-on programming skills
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.
- Proven experience as a Quality Specialist or similar role.
- Experience working with QA tools and Jira is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks
- A team player, sharing skills and ideas to ensure best outcomes.
