Business Development Director

The mission of this awesome tribe at MEDIAGENIX is to enable renowned public and commercial radio and TV stations, on-demand platforms, OTT streamers and telcos to bring content to the viewer with our broadcast management system called WHATS’ON.

Your challenge

  • Your mission, should you accept it, is to continuously grow the business in terms of the number of new clients and revenue in Mexico, Central and South American regions, with special focus on the OTT/DTC/VOD and Telco Segments.
  • Always on the hunt for new opportunities, you succeed in opening previously closed doors and developing new markets. You develop the plans to find and qualify new leads, develop existing leads, forecast market potential  and assure full coverage of the addressable market in your markets and/or segments.
  • With your exceptional sales skills and armed with MEDIAGENIX’ expertise from leading media clients from around the world as well as our go to market strategy and resources, you are able to offer potential customers a unique perspective on their channel management, content supply chain and overall business strategies and position our platform as enabler for their growth and efficiency.
  • You develop and maintain a holistic sales strategy per opportunity and work with the Sales Engineers and Business Consultants to systematically engage with all stakeholders in the client organization to generate enthusiasm, preference and ultimately drive the decision to implement our platform.
  • You can guide the customer and drive and facilitate the discovery, selection, negotiation and decision-making process at a customer, consistently meeting quarterly and annual revenue quota.
  • You apply the internal bid management process to inform and involve all relevant departments in the organization, including Delivery, Product, Legal and senior management.  
  • During and after the initial implementation project, you also take up the role of account manager.   You develop multi-year account plans with the goal of optimizing the long-term customer satisfaction as well as the continuous growth of our business within the customer organizations.
  • You work with our internal project delivery and support organization to optimize their service to your accounts and work together closely with the project management team and Customer Service manager. 
  • You organize regular account meetings with the various relevant departments and units of your accounts. You leverage such meetings to develop to detect opportunities for account penetration (more solutions) and development (larger footprint i.e. business units, countries, channels, …).
  • You are a member of the MEDIAGENIX Americas Business Development team and report directly to the MD Americas, with whom you will follow up on quota and overall targets and strategy.

  • You are a true hunter, able to uncover new opportunities and find and develop leads.
  • You have a proven track record in a similar role in complex Enterprise Software (such are ERP, CRM, …) or in Broadcast Management, CMS, OTT or similar solutions or for at least 5 years.  
  • Your experience provides you with the discipline required to think strategically about your prospects and clients as well as the commitment and achievement of clear targets.
  • You are inquisitive & consultative by nature and you love to learn and teach.
  • You are self-driven and you can demonstrate you have achieved significant success acquiring new business in Latin America.
  • You are a great negotiator, able to close high value deals and you understand the complex process of solutions selling and the discipline that comes with it.
  • You have excellent presentation and teaching skills as well as strong writing skills
  • You live in a Latin American country or South Florida, with the ability to work out of the MEDIAGENIX Florida office on a regular basis.
  • You are a native Spanish speaker, have very good command of the English language and ideally understand and speak Portuguese.
