A full-scale configuration of the broadcast scheduling software WHATS'On
being installed at TG4, the national Irish language tv station.
MediaGeniX, the only European software developer exclusively specialised in integrated software applications for broadcast planning, is implementing its broadcast planning software at the Irish commerial broadcaster TG4.
Alan Esslemont, Director of Television TG4: "One of the main reasons to choose WHATS'On as our scheduling backbone was that MediaGeniX has incorporated a lot of best practices in their system and that they continue to do so through their product evolution".
Arnout Mertens, Project Manager of MediaGeniX: "From the beginning, it became rapidly clear that the standard WHATS'On functionalities met the needs of TG4's expectations. This project shows that WHATS'On can quickly be implemented at a low cost, even at established TV stations."
Besides the WHATS'On Core Module, the project includes data migration, the integration of business-critical modules that are fully embedded in the systems environment: the Season, Week and Day Program Planning module; Trailer, Campaign, Program, Contract and Media Management; Budget simulations; Cost Analysis; Reporting; Finance; the Datamart core, contracts, programs and planning module; Presentation; Continuity; and Alternative Scheduling.
